The last post
It seems such a long time ago that I wrote the first post on this blog and now it is time to write the last one.
Although it has been fun I needed to get myself a real website, which I have done.
If you want to continue to follow me there is a blog section on the new website and I hate to say but it will probably get as much input from me as this one did.
Anyway, please visit me at judithbrownecalligraphy.com

Happy New Year!
And I’m back again!
I’m back
Halfway through the year and I have really neglected this space. I have been so busy with weddings and now it is time for SouthSide works exposed. http://imadeitmarket.com/southside-works-exposed-artists-2014-july-11-13/
My fingers are flying.
Here are a few images of work I have done and some new things for the market. The chalkboard seating chart is just a sample. I couldn’t photograph the real one without showing too many names.
the popped question.
Has someone popped the question? if so you should come to Hitchburgh….the very best alternative wedding fair, probably in the whole world.http://imadeitmarket.com/i-made-it-hitchburgh-artists-vendors/
I will be there and I would love to meet you and talk about your wedding.
Here is a taste of some of the things I have been working on
Hello
a story
Many years ago I bought an old typewriter at a jumble sale and for the next eighteen years it sat in an attic. It wasn’t forgotten because it was a project that sat on the back burner in my mind. I have many of those projects.
My kids messed around with it and eventually pulled the ribbon right out of the spools. It sat and gathered dust. Then we moved to the USA and the old typewriter came with us. It’s new home was on an school desk in my studio and for the next eight years I piled as much on top of it as I possibly could.
Then I decided to try and clean it……not too successful.
I bought a new ribbon which the dog ate and turned his white fur black in the process.
Finally I bought another ribbon, kept it in a safe place and eventually attempted to install it. I over thought the installation process until Google was my friend and an old Underwood manual made the whole thing so easy.
I typed.
Those Underwood typists must have been strong because I really had to hit the keys hard to make a mark but at last, after more than 25 years…drum roll…..bigger drum roll….
Here is the first thing to roll off that old typewriter..
A small Valentine book for you to write down all the ways you love your special person.
For sale this Saturday at https://www.facebook.com/events/259871504170727/.
Who knows, I may even bring the old typewriter with me.
